Adopting “Fukuoka’s okuzashiki – backroom” as a concept and inspired by the areas former popularity as a therapeutic bath for travelers to relieve their fatigue, an environment that combines comfort with new encounters and discoveries has been created for this renovation.
The buffet in the dining room follows the image of the lobby lounge whilst adding special and atmospheric features such as the folding screens made of 60 x 227mm tiles, art display of local ceramic potteries, and blown glass lights surrounding the space.
