Swissotel Nankai Osaka has been hotel symbolically known in Osaka Minami with its unique yet high level of hospitality since it opened in 2003 as the first “Swissotel” in Japan.  The hotel is directly connected to Namba station making it extremely accessible and convenient.

The Swiss Select Rooms are considered a medium grade among all the rooms within the hotel and likewise with all the other areas of the hotel, the rooms are designed to express the individuality of Swissotels’ character whilst taking into consideration the awareness of the inbound travelers to create a Japanese Casual Modern environment which can only be achieved by Swissotel.

Once entering in the elevator hall, a carpet design inspired by the gingko trees planted along the Osaka Minami’s mainstreet, Midosuji, leads the guests to the corridor creating a sense of anticipation and exuberance.

The doors of each room are uniquely decorated with colours and patterns used in Kawachi cotton, a traditional Osaka craft.

The guestrooms have a colour scheme based on white wood and traditional indigo dyeing colours and a bright and comfortable environment is created by casually introducing Japanese touches.

The iconic artwork above the headboard also uses gingko leaves that are reinterpreted as “Japanese modern” which is unique to this area to compliment with the beautiful scenery of the ginkgo street that can be viewed from the room.

The furniture and lighting fixtures are all designed with up-beat colors and iconic forms to create character to the room.
